The Restaurant Dishwasher / Busperson maintains the restaurant for stock upkeep and dishwashing, as well as maintenance and cleaning functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Interior:
1. Customer service while on shift. Show respect and courtesy towards all customers.
2. Respond quickly to sweeping and mopping up messes.
3. Clear and clean tables after customers are gone.
4. Keep all areas stocked with dishes, silverware, and glasses. Respond quickly to requests for dishes, keep cook's area stocked, bars kept stocked, stock before rush, dishes stacked in proper place, and pots and pans cleaned and stored properly.
5. Insure all dishes, silverware, and glasses are clean and spotless.
6. Keep restrooms stocked, floors clean, toilets and urinals clean, and trash emptied.
7. Immediately advises Restaurant Manager of any maintenance problems.
Exterior:
1. Make sure landscaping is free from weeds and lawn is mowed.
2. Keep parking lots and sidewalks free from debris (i.e. paper, cigarettes, etc.)
3. Ensure dumpsite area is clean, with gate closed and locked.
4. Maintain grease barrels (lid in place, wiped down, no overflow).
General
1. Maintain restaurant, restroom, walk-in coolers, and freezer clean, organized, and stocked.
2. Empty garbage cans during shift and just prior to end of shift.
EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience should be in the area of restaurant maintenance; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Ability to lift 30 lb. regularly and 50 lb. occasionally.
